Hey all!! Despite several people not being able to attend, the upva meeting is still a go! It will probably be an abbreviated meeting but it will be great nonetheless.
We”ll be discussing sales and package building methods that work and how to be profitable on the current economic times.

If those attending could bring samples of some packages they offer, that would be great!

We’ll also have a few stellar peer reviews from some of our very talanted members.
I’m excited to see all those that can make it tonight!!

January UPVA meeting

Hello everyone, I hope you enjoyed your holiday season! Our next UPVA meeting is coming up soon, on January 6th. We will be having a short meeting beforehand to talk about the UPVA for board next year. Chris McClain will be the new president, but he needs to choose other board positions for Membership, Public Relations, Finance, Secretary, Webmaster, Awards and Recognition, and Vice President. So if you’re interested, please come to the meeting at 5:30, 1 hour early.

Our regular UPVA meeting will begin at 6:30, we will be discussing our goals and outlook for the upcoming 2010 year in wedding and event videography.

This meeting will also be your last chance to turn in your entries for the Creative Excellence Awards! We know that you all have great videos out there, and this is a good way to get feedback on your work, as well as see how you stack up with other professionals in our state. The entry forms are on the website, upva.org.

Another note about January’s meeting–Chris McClain will be stepping up as the 2010 UPVA president, and would like to meet with anyone interested in serving on the board. There will be a short meeting before the regular UPVA meeting, starting at 5:30. This is a great opportunity to be involved in the local industry and promote professional videography.
